Lunch hours are from 12.00 noon to 2.30pm (RM 47.00 nett per adult, RM 23.50 nett per child)

The Food Promotions team is honoured to be invited to the launching of the Taste of Taiwan together with Taiwan Visitors Association and China Airlines.

The event started off sharp at 6.00pm with the opening speech by YB Danny Law Heng Kiang, our dearly Penang State Tourism Development, Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee Chairman.

In conjunction of Taste of Taiwan, two special guests from Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza, Taipei was here in Malaysia to showcase their skills in whipping up tantalizing Taiwanese meals. We have Chef Bia Wang the Senior Sous Chef that specialises in Taiwanese cuisine. Where else, Chef Li Chi-Cheng is known as Wok Chef that is expert in Cantonese cuisine and specialises in signature wok-fried Taiwanese dishes.

Alright, lets focus on food. The main highlight of the night would be the famous Taiwanese Beef Noodles Soup. Whats more besides this to make up truly taiwanse cuisine. Besides that, they so serves Deep Fried Fu Rong Tofu, marinated jellyfish with abalone and Danzai noodles.
These are the top 5 famous dishes from Taiwan. From the above we have Steamed Assorted Egg and 3 combination of eggs that is egg white, century egg and salted egg at the top left. And in the bottom of right corner, that is the Marinated Jelly Fish with Abalone.

Stir Fried Minced Shrimp with Lettuce. Chef showed us to put some of the Stir Fried Minced Shrimp on top some lettuce leaf to be eaten. A great and healthy way to consume it.
We are told that this dish is served during the cold season in Taiwan to keep the people warm.

For seafood lover, this section is a must to be visit as they serves fresh oysters, prawns and mussels.

The seafood will be grill for you upon ordering. That is the wonder of delicious hot food.
As for the dessert would be the spring roll skin wrap with ice cream of your choice and coriander with some sprinkle of crushed peanuts.
